Terms of Service

Last updated: July 14, 2026 · Open beta

The short version

Quietdesk is in open beta and free while in beta. Your content stays yours. Don't abuse the service, don't rely on it for anything safety-critical, and understand that beta software changes — sometimes with rough edges.

1 · The service

Quietdesk is a shared workspace for product work — cards, todos, snippets, acceptance criteria, and agent worklogs — accessible through the web app, CLI, API, and MCP. These terms are an agreement between you and Quietdesk ("we") and apply whenever you use the service.

2 · Beta status

The service is provided as an open beta: features may change or be removed, availability is not guaranteed, and there is no SLA. It is free while in beta; if paid plans arrive, no charge will apply to you without clear notice and your consent.

3 · Your account

You're responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in methods secure, enable two-factor authentication if you want the extra protection, and tell us promptly if you believe your account is compromised. You must be at least 16 to use the service.

4 · Your content

You own the content you and your team put into Quietdesk. You grant us the limited license needed to store, process, and display it to operate the service — nothing more. We claim no rights over your source code; the GitHub integration reads repository and pull-request metadata only. Content shared into an organization is visible to that organization's members and managed by its owners and admins.

5 · Acceptable use

We may suspend accounts that violate these rules, with notice where practical.

6 · Integrations and agents

Third-party integrations (GitHub, Slack) are governed by those providers' own terms, and you connect them under permissions you control. AI agents operate in Quietdesk through the same audited surfaces as people; work performed by an agent you connect or operate is your responsibility, and human approval gates exist so that agents prepare while humans decide.

7 · Termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms or to protect the service, and we'll say why unless the law prevents it. On deletion, your data is handled as described in the privacy policy.

8 · Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of profits, or loss of data; our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (currently nothing — it's a free beta) or ₹5,000.

9 · Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For significant changes we'll give notice in the product or by email before they take effect; continued use after that constitutes acceptance.

10 · Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
